Gymnastics is for everyone, not just for those who could handstand before they could stand and walkover before they could walk.
In my role as an Educational and Recreational Gymnastics Consultant, I am committed to imparting the message that Gymnastics is a sport for all and that it can contribute effectively to every person's learning, health, fitness and well-being, even at a participatory level. My career aim, therefore, is to share this ethos with those currently delivering and those interested to deliver introductory Gymnastics in order to improve the quality of provision so that these benefits can be explored and enjoyed by many in a safe and comfortable environment.
As the majority of people will initially be exposed to Gymnastics in their school environment, a key aspect of my work is to up-skill teachers, giving them the knowledge, understanding and therefore confidence to deliver high quality Gymnastics both in the curriculum and as an extra-curricular activity.
