A little about me...
My involvement in participatory level Gymnastics spans 39 years.
Starting out as a recreational gymnast, I accomplished my aim of completing the British Gymnastics badges before qualifying as an assistant coach at the age of 17. Since then, I have extended my range of coaching qualifications, co-founded and managed a series of recreational Gymnastics clubs and have become a licensed member of the British Gymnastics Coach Education Workforce delivering courses such as the British Gymnastics Secondary Teachers' Award course. I hold a first class BA (Hons) QTS degree in Physical Education and worked for 5 years as a full time PE teacher culminating in a two-and-a-half year stint as Head of Department in a city centre secondary school. This experience has afforded me the opportunity to work with individual teachers, whole schools, School Sports Partnerships and Local Authorities offering such services as tutoring courses, leading workshops, writing schemes of work, delivering example lessons, completing lesson observations, developing resources and carrying out PE Health and Safety audits. Whatever the consultancy task, I pride myself on a friendly, diligent and professional approach and aim to maximise the quality of service provided in the hope that many more people will have the chance to experience the benefits of introductory gymnastics in the same way that I have throughout my life.
